Ever thought about who comes up with those wonderful comics that we couldn't put down? David Gildersleeve began his illustrious art career while growing up in the great State of Texas and comic books became his earliest teachers. Later he bounced around art schools, earned an MFA degree, and now teaches at The Savannah College of Art and Design in the Sequential Art department. David has been published in several magazines including Comic's Pro Magazine and Playboy and presents his work in various galleries. David specializes in western art, humorous art, illustrations, cartoons, children's stories, and cartoon strips. He's currently working on his second children's book and remains committed to painting as often as possible.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
