For the first time in history, the elimination of malaria – arguably the deadliest disease in history – is within our reach. Traditionally, ASEAN countries have been dependent on external financing for malaria programs. However, as the region’s economy continues to grow, and malaria rates go down, external grant financing is likely to get more competitive. During this press conference, learn more about two new platforms, designed to address the challenges mentioned above and in particular to mobilize funding and political support to end malaria in the ASEAN region: “M2030” and “Blended Finance for Impact”.
