Florida law requires an automatic recount in a race in which the difference in vote totals is half a percent or less. Palm Beach County, like Florida’s 66 other counties, is under an initial 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, deadline to complete a machine recount of votes in the U.S. Senate race, governor, and agriculture and consumer services commissioner races.
