Yesterday, Ruth Simons broke out her watercolors and painted a scenic landscape alongside Angelica in Otavalo. Angelica's family grows and sells crops in a lot adjacent to their home. They also raise chickens and pigs to provide food for themselves as well as to sell at a local market. Angelica's father only makes $50-60 every month. Despite this, Angelica and her family are dedicated to serving the Lord. Before their produce is harvested from their garden, they give the first 4 rows to the local church as an offering. "We know that even despite our circumstances, we are blessed by the Lord," Angelica's mother says.
