We are amongst the top 3 nations facing cyber attacks with phishing incidents having increased by 76%* since 2016. These attacks can be thwarted, if we are aware and smart enough to catch the signs and report anything suspicious. Here are 5 ways to avoid being a victim of a phishing attack: 1: Don’t share your personal details like passwords/OTP number or your personal banking details on suspicious emails. 2: Hover your cursor over URL’s received in your email to see the actual hyperlink. If the address is different, don’t click. 3: Be skeptical of generic greetings like, "Dear Customer" or "Dear Member." This should raise a red flag because most companies would use your name in their email greetings. 4: Don't hesitate to call your bank or financial institution if you receive threatening emails of your account being compromised or closed. 5: Check and double check the display name for grammatical errors. #StaySafeStaySmart
