SM3 John Akin takes us back to his many experiences in the 1970's Navy. A hard working midwestern guy sets off for the Navy at 17, following a family tradition of military service. There was no signalman A school available at the time, so John had to work his way up to the signal bridge from deck department. Tune in for the rest of the story.
