16 July 2017. Close up of the Sun, after sunrise, around mid-morning, about 9am. The purplish hue seems to be an anomaly that appears if the contrast is set below a certain threshold with minor reduction to brightness. It is not related to the filter and I have subsequently noticed that it only occurs at very specific instances, usually when there is a dramatic change in light levels.
