We are playing Mount & Blade: Viking Conquest and start a new chapter in the Saga of Balder Thorgrimson! Hated by Christians, but revered by the Norse, we saw Balder gain power and wealth through bravery, charisma and the spilling of great streams of monks’ blood. Balder arrived in England as a nobody that had to endure insults to his family name and honor and became one of the most feared and respected men in the British Isles. He rose from the leader of a small warband to the most powerful lord in the Kingdom of Northumbria.  But now that he has broken with his former liege Halfdan, a son of the legendary Ragnar Lothbrok, the real fight begins: Will he be able to establish his newly formed Kingdom of Baldersdale in the harsh lands of future Scotland? Can he persuade enough lords to swear fealty to him? Will he be able to hold onto his crown, his queen-consort Sigrid and his capital Edinburgh? Or will he be beaten and made to relinquish everything that he has fought for? Join me and find out!
