The inspiration for this soap initiated from the need to have fun! Not that soaping isn't always fun for me. I guess I wanted extra fun! For another dose of distraction, we went to the San Diego Fair. That must have been one of the factors that played around in my brain to create this Fun Zone soap. As soon as I conceived of this idea, I had flashbacks to our trip last year to San Francisco's Musée Mécanique, a collection of fun and sometimes macabre antique arcade games and puppets that still work. Then the idea of the "embedded embeds" came to me. This may have, in part, been inspired by the elaborate mille fiori glass paper weight i got on a trip to Venice. Isn't inspiration interesting?
