Emerging and developing economies are not immune to the crisis. Lesotho, for example. It has seen a lot of investment over the past decades. Taiwanese textile producers have located here. The sector is now the biggest employer in the country. But the US is the biggest export market for the textiles - and that could well turn into a problem. The 50,000 people employed in the textile industry have little prospect of finding another job.
