City public schools require Sh14 billion

Nairobi City County estimates that it will require to spend at least Sh14.27 billion to revamp its public schools.The estimate is contained in a report on the improvement of performance conducted by a task force formed to find ways of narrowing the gap between public and private schools in Nairobi County. The task force, which is chaired by Dr Mark Matunga, noted that based on the current status of primary schools in the county, a lot needs to be done to improve the quality of education.
