Although no match to the Como lake in Italy, there is one very decent beach just outside of Kharkov on the road past the airport in Bezlyudovka. What seems to be a flooded former sandpit is a popular summer destination for many Kharkovites. There is beach, barbecue, forest, and even a wakeboarding cable. With less visitors on a cloudy day, it still looks nice. And the water is always super clean.
