After failing yet another champion dungeon (my 3rd in a row) I decided to do a green dungeon with no light, and an antiquarian to get some extra loot.  Well what do you know I had a surprise visit from The Shambler.  

Am I right in guessing it can spawn if there is no light?  Can that happen in the first weeks of the game?
