I was trying to be like Gandalf but it didn't work out the way I wanted. When I went up to the top of the waterfall it was a bit windy and so the water just came straight back to the top and it felt like rain. But it's a nice track though and really worth to do it when you are visit Matamata. Some general information: Just 10 minutes’ drive from Matamata, the Wairere Falls is the highest waterfall in the North Island and a popular walking track in the Waikato.
