Quick tutorial: Art journal page using Amsterdam Pearl Set, inspired by Aurora Borealis (Northern lights). My interpretation of northern lights is more blue than the image that I used as my inspiration, so I used blue paint and just a little bit green. I primed the page with matt black acrylic paint. You could use black gesso as well. Pearlescent paints - or metallic paints - have lovely sheen when used on black background.
