A group of Grade 11 girls from École secondaire catholique lHorizon have been conducting an awareness campaign at their school about the shooting of 14 women at École Polytechnique in Montreal 20 years ago. The anniversary of the shootings, which took place December 6, 1989, is now commemorated as the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
