Quashing concerns of China "taking over" a strategic port located on the southern part of Sri Lanka and of Colombo drifting into Beijing's sphere of influence, Foreign Minister Sarath Amunugama said that India would "always" be Sri Lanka's first choice. In an exclusive interview with India Today in Colombo, Amunugama assured that no Chinese submarine could dock at its Hambantota port.
