In a bid to make the state free of drug and liquor menace before the upcoming 2017 elections, Excise Department raided a liquor making factory in the forests of Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. Tons of liquor barrels were recovered and simultaneously damaged by the Excise Department. Although the liquor making equipments and barrels were destroyed, the perpetrators of the crime fled from the scene. According to the security officials, this liquor was to influence and give a bad name to the upcoming elections. An investigation is underway to nab the culprits.
