Everyone was born with the talent of creative expressions, may it be in the form of singing, dancing, drawing, etc. The major challenge for most of us is : how to keep your passion and develop your creativity throughout your lifetime? In this talk, Yedan Huang shares with you how she's created an artistic life enlightened by her inner thoughts, emotions and wisdom from her interaction with people, nature and the Universe. About the Speaker: Yedan Huang was born in Shanghai and migrated to Hong Kong in 2001 to study at the age of 19. She obtained a MPhil degree in Sociology at the University of Hong Kong, together with three-year undergraduate education at the same university with a double major in American Studies & Sociology. Her one-year living experience in the U.S. as a visiting scholar at the University of California (Los Angeles) under the sponsorship of Fulbright Scholarship Program in 2009-2010 was a turning point of her life, which lead her to widen her vision and discover a unique yet fruitful life path thenafter. She withdrew her PhD study after returning to Hong Kong and started her career at local non-profit organizations, beginning as a Program Manager at a local private school (i.e. Gaia School) and later as Publication & Program Officer at Green Living Education Foundation (Club O) until now. She wishes to live an inspiring life and help people return to a greener, simpler and more spiritual lifestyle finding a better relationship with themselves, others and the Universe. Born with the talent of writing and drawing, she also hopes to publish a series of illustration books on relevant fields. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
