The Mabry-Hazen House has a rich history that spans three generations of the same family who lived here from 1865-1987. While it is unique that the original furniture and other possessions of these individuals remain in the house, it is the stories about these people that bring it to life. The Civil War, a gunfight on Gay Street in 1882, and a Breach of Promise lawsuit in the early 1930's are only a few stories that bring color and fascination to those who visit the museum.
