Kenneth J. Pienta, M.D., professor of urology and internal medicine, explains it's not always necessary for all aspects of a clinical trial be conducted at a cancer center.  Community / primary care doctors can work in partnership, by handling things like blood draws.  Not only does this improve relationships between physicians, it also makes it much easier for patients to participate in clinical trials through improving convenience.
