While experimenting with Bucky Ball spherical magnets, I found interesting interactions between rings of magnets when they combined. Often, they would combine to create 1 larger ring of a slightly different shape. Other times, the 2 rings would retain their individual shapes, but still connect together as 2 separate rings. This video is a Slow Motion Experiment showing the interactions of molecules, represented by spherical rare earth magnets.
