Facebook famously failed to acquire Twitter in 2008, but that doesn't mean it can't act like Twitter in 2012. The social network has adopted a new "Share" button on its mobile app that functions much like a retweet on Twitter, reposting messages to a user's own feed. Facebook didn't comment directly on the similarity, but TechCrunch notes that managers there hinted that they expected the change at recent talks. That said, Facebook may soon see the favor returned: Twitter is reportedly considering replacing its "favorite" function with a "like" button.
