Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer one super clean 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS. The fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro was produced by Chevrolet 1993 through 2002. It was introduced on an updated F-body Platform. It would retain the same characteristic of the first-generation's introduction back in 1967; 2-doors, 2+2 seating, available as a coupe or convertible, rear-wheel drive and a choice of pushrod V6 and V8 power plants. The 1998 model year was refreshed and revised with both exterior and engine changes. In 1996, the Camaro Z28 SS was actually offered and re-introduced by Street Legal Performance Engineering (SLP). The Z28/SS in 1996 was not offered from Chevrolet GM plant so the Z28 package was used to be the base model foundation for SLP's SS package. The Camaro name is alive and well today, but in 2002 Chevrolet shocks fans nationwide by discontinuing the model for the 2003 model year. The name would not return again until 2010. This '02 is the last year of the fourth generation and a fine example of the breed. This particular car is finished in desirable Onyx Black paint. The paint finish on this car is absolutely stunning. The finish shows hardly any wear and has been kept clean with finish clearly showing it. Glide the back of your hand across the paint and it is smooth as silk. This is no surprise for a beautifully maintained vehicle which has only covered 34,695 miles since 2002. The vehicle has always been used as a second vehicle and always stored in a climate controlled garage. A nice option SLP added on this SS Camaro are the chrome ZR-1 wheels which are in stunning condition wrapped in new rubber. Pop the hood to find the original LS1 V8 which is good for 345 Horsepower in this application. The LS is backed by a 6 speed manual transmission. The car runs and drives wonderfully, and is ready for a new enthusiast to take ownership. Inside you'll find Grey interior with very clean cloth upholstery. The dash and door panels show no cracks or scuffs and hardly look used. This one comes with the Monsoon stereo system which sounds great. Perhaps the best option on this Camaro is the removable T-Tops. The T-tops can be easily removed and stowed securely in the rear cargo area. This gives a great open air set up which will put the wind in your hair. Just about everything about this car is in mint condition. This car would easily be taken to a car show and do quite well.
