Improvised piccolo with plunger mute trombone... doesn't that sound like a lovely combination.

The tune starts off with the drummer setting up a very funky steady beat using the side of his drum sticks on the wood of the snare. The plunger trombone comes in, sad as ever, followed by the high pitch voiced piccolo. The bass eventually switches tempos while the voices on top let out their ideas... C Walter Lovell brings back the original groove and the tune comes to an exciting climactic end.
