The American Girl Girl of the Year Luciana's Maker Station is a part doll accessory set/part maker set for fans of both space and, of course, the 2018 Girl of the Year Luciana Vega. Luciana is a creative, confident 11-year-old girl of Chilean descent and aspiring astronaut who dreams of being the first person to go to Mars. She loves science and space, and her story begins after she wins a scholarship to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. This playset taps into that storyline as well as Luciana's love for science in unique ways. Kids can pretend to join Luciana to design and build a robot for her big robotics competition. The set includes a robotic arm that can pick things up; a workbench with two shelves and two bins; posters featuring a goals list and image of Orion; photo of female astronaut Dr. Megan McArthur Behnken; measuring tape, screwdriver, and set of screws for building; safety goggles and apron, which can be worn by your Luciana doll or any American Girl doll; three graph papers and papers for ideas and sketching; a miniature model of the solar system; a pretend terrarium for plants; and a sticker sheet for added customization to your work bench. The set also comes with two small MEGA CONSTRUX construction sets for a satellite and a rover.
