King Bomb (Final Fantasy XII)
The King Bomb is a boss in Final Fantasy XII.

At the time when the party is to go to Archadia, they must go through Salikawood. A fork in the road leads to the dead areas of Nabradia, where a craftsmoogle warns is infested with Bombs. This is a somewhat unique boss as the player can escape anytime.

Page 1: Observations
Being a fiery armament of singular destructive power among the bombs created in ancient times.

It was long thought that the bombs disappeared, never taking to the wilds, yet drawn by the massive Mist cloud left in the wake of the tragedy at Nabudis, they came to live here as odd guests in the forest.

Battle
During the battle, it is possible to leave the Grand Bower, but only in the direction of the Gate Crystal. To gain access in the other direction to Nabudis, the boss must be defeated. When the party first passes through the Salikawood on the way to Archades, the King Bomb is likely too strong to be defeated.

During the battle, the boss will call to his aid up to three other bombs, which he will replace if they are destroyed. Also, after his health has been significantly depleted, he will retreat and cast renew to heal himself, silencing does not work so the last part of his health must be removed quickly, quickenings are the most suggested or if you have Zodiark (which is possible by completely skipping the fight until you get him), use Final Eclipse.

If any party members are inflicted with the Oil status, this can be a great burden, as King Bomb would cast high Fire spells, or simply ram at you, as both attacks are Fire-based, damages inflicted can be extremely high. Summoning Belias to absorb his fire attacks is a good tactic, but do not allow Belias to use his final attack, as it would heal King Bomb instead.

It should be noted that King Bomb seems to be one of the few bosses greatly effected with the Nihopaloa / Remedy combo. With all the Remedy Licenses, one Remedy will Disease, Slow, Immobilize, Oil, and Sap him, turning this somewhat challenging boss into a pushover.
