Europe's driest country, Spain, is getting drier. Parts that were green only ten years ago have lost their colour. They can't support the animal life they once did. Emergency investment from the government into renewable energy sources just got a 100 million euro top-up. Spain is about to take its turn as European Union presidency (under the system which is on the way out) and plans to make climate change a priority.
