About Kathryn Kleekamp "Before moving to Cape Cod, I enjoyed a 30-year career as a clinical microbiologist. I'm primarily a self-guided realistic painter, working in oils and occasionally watercolor. My goal is to capture an image or moment in time and have the viewer experience his or her own special memories of that place." "My passion for painting would not be as strong if I didn't live on Cape Cod. There's beauty at every turn… the brilliant crimson of a November cranberry bog or verdant shades and varied textures of summer marsh grass…the majestic form of the lighthouses…or village churches ... all inspire, not only through their beauty, but also through their rich history.
