If you like to enjoy nature while getting some exercise, make your way to Cirque De Mafate, an isolated part of Reunion Island where life is stuck in time! These parts can only be accessed by foot or helicopter, and were the safe havens for runaway slaves in the 19th century. Mafate means "Dangerous" in the Madagascar language, which gave the illusion that it was unsafe to visit. The trails are clearly marked now and you'll encounter fauna of all sorts of elevations. It's breathtaking views may make it difficult to reach your destination on time!
