I was among what I generally think of as the fastest of the slower people or the slowest of the fast people (whichever you prefer). We were among the top 20 finishers but we were not in the fight for the top 10. My camera got moved when I took my helmet off for the national anthem before the race and I had to tilt it to correct the error. As a result the screen is a bit skewed at an odd angle. Since I had to do this process I also stabilized the video too. I'm not a fan of stabilization but in this case I figured it was something I could do to make up for the tilted image. I was with a great group this year working among friends from the Los Angeles area as well as some great skaters from San Diego, My time this year was only a few seconds faster than last year but the conditions were much more challenging this time around. There was a constant headwind of about 4 mph or so. Not enough to stop you right away but it made going it alone on an attack very difficult. Everyone who tried was reeled in rather quickly. In any case it was a great challenge and I'm very happy with my performance.
