I went to my local Home Depot today and they had all Christmas lights for 75% off the normal price.... So I went a little bit crazy. I made a rambling video here just talking about. If you see these on sale, you might benefit from the information I present here about flicker, etc. 

I measured the power usage of these strings:

Syncrolights  Qty.12 - 1.5 watts
Martha Stewart Qty. 50 color - 4 watts
Home Depot Waterproof Qty. 100 white - 3 watts
Martha Stewart Qty. 50 white - 4 watts
