United Nations, New York, 27 July 2009 - Noon briefing by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General. The Secretary-General has submitted a progress report to the Security Council on the implementation of resolution 1820, concerning sexual violence.

In the report, the Secretary-General details how he has been using his own good offices to advocate for an end to sexual violence, including the global campaign "UNiTE to end violence against women".
