The Root Down club moved to El Cid in Echo Park, LA. For its inaugural night the funksters Breakestra brought the breakbeats and funk with them. Led by Music Man Miles and Mixmaster Wolf, they had special guest Afrodyete on vocals. I went along to catch the vibe.
