"Alternative Reality - In the Light of the Dark": Episodes of your life can change the way you observe things or your ability to see them. Sometimes these things do not exist until you start to look for them.

Researching the behavior and philosophy of Light and its relationship with reality perception is the core exploration of Rafael Y. Herman's work. Using various artistic means and breakthrough approaches, he expressed new ways of conceiving light. Herman exhibited his first works where Light acts as a protagonist in 2006 in Milan, the city where he has settled for a decade after living throughout Latin America for several years. During this period of travel, he studied and experimented with the expressive potential of Anthropological photography and painting. Since 2006, Herman's works have been shown in diverse countries and continents, and are in the permanent collections of museums in Europe, the Middle East, as well as many prominent private collections.


In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
