Obama Cries During White House Address about Gun Control - My Reaction

President Barack Obama cries during a white House Speech on Gun Control on Tuesday, January 5, 2016.  The address happened right around 12pm noon eastern time.  It was held to address much of the gun violence that has been in the news lately, and to address any solutions that may be had.  

Some of his solutions included making it more difficult to legally obtain a firearm through more mental evaluations, closing the "gun show loophole", mandatory background checks and more.  Much of these things are already addressed on a state level.  Such as the state of North Carolina which requires a person's medical records be examined by a psychiatrist to clear them as it relates to any mental health problems.  During the speech, Obama made it seem as if no states have these regulations and that he would be creating totally new ones, but that's not the case.

Obama also spoke about the 30,000 Americans every year that "have their lives cut short" by guns.  He doesn't specify the amount of that number which is justifiable homicide, unjustifiable homicide, accidents, or suicides.  It's a large, inflated number that doesn't paint the reality of the situation in the United States as it relates to the world.  Zaevion Dobson, 15 year old high school football player who shielded girls from bullets and died as a result, was mentioned as someone who could have been saved from more gun restrictions.

Towards the end, he began preaching about unalienable rights stripped from sheiks, kids in Santa Barbara, high schoolers in columbine, first graders in Newtown.  Be began to cry when he was preaching naming all of those places.  He also mentioned smart guns, money allotted for mental health, and how gun restrictions are akin to women's rights, black rights, and gay rights, which is foolish.
