About RimWorld:

In RimWorld, you control a random group of colonists as they crash land on a strange new planet. The colonists don't really know how to survive such a  disaster, but they'll pull their skills together to make the best of things. 

RimWorld Gameplay Elements:

You'll begin with three survivors every time you start a new run. They'll need to do things to survive such as...

Gather resources by mining, farming, woodcutting, etc...
Construct a base.
Generate power.
Arm themselves to fight pirates, raiders and monsters.
Take prisoners and attempt to convert them.
And much, much more.
