Working in the raised bed garden again, planting our Fall Brassicas using our Gaia gardening method. The Brassica family includes many cool weather crops such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage that can be grown in the Spring or Fall. The Gaia Gardening method we coined here on the homestead involves using the existing garden soil (Gaia = Earth), rich or poor, to form the container that amended soil for growing can be placed into. This can be compost, potting soil, garden soil, peat moss, or your own mixture as we have done with our Raised Bed Super Soil. We will also include a "tips and tricks" segment at the end of the video about how to make use of out-of-date or expired seed / seeds. We will also be using a correctly balanced 02-07-04 vegetable garden fertilizer and Epsom salt to amend the soil throughout the video. We will also explain how we over-winter our Bell Pepper plants in response to viewer questions.
