A big and exciting part of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine & Muscle Car Nationals is the burnout contest. An impressive and courageous group of car owners took their rides to see how much rubber they could burn, or even how many tires they could shred!

I do have to say that this is an American burnout contest, not an Australian one, and the rules of the National Burnout Association are extremely strict. Some people out there may not be seeing what they expect. Last year's video did receive a lot of criticism, but safety is a huge priority in these kinds of contests, and unfortunately the rules need to be very enforced. Hope you enjoy this American plate burnout contest as much as I did!
