Tree of Transformation is a 20-foot-tall interactive musical work of art by Nick Geurts and Ryan Elmendorf in Civic Center Park. The exhibit incorporates a piano sprouting lighted branches of steel drums that anyone can play. It opens to the public January 18, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with food and beverage trucks to celebrate the installation, which will remain through April 15. Video by Steve Nehf.
