Labeled one of the worst industrial disasters in the United States in the last 100 years, the Thiokol Plant Explosion in Woodbine, Georgia changed the lives of people in the community and the country forever. As Camden County celebrated its 45th Anniversary Wednesday, it was also the first time the State of Georgia recognized the victims and first responders involved in the explosion.
