did this in 1998 using 3DstudioMAX 2.1 as my first project at college (it wasnt even an animation course but a CAD course. i used a laptop with 366mhz pentium2 64mb ram, 8mb ATI Rage Pro graphics and a 4GB HD. the task was to create an advert for something. considering i'd had a month with the software i was happy with the results. Notice there's volumetric fog, inverse kinematics on the dog, motion bluring, doppler sound effects and live action video.
