Jeff Onsrud explains the role Autodesk played in bringing the new C.R. Onsrud Qube 5-axis machining centre to market. Autodesk Inventor was used to design the entire machine from the ground up. Autodesk PowerMill was used to program the CNC machining of a Porsche 917k sports car with efficient 3+2 and 5-axis cnc machining strategies that kept the machine within its travel limits and avoided potentially hazardous collisions.
