Sharm el-Sheikh : Launch of the Internet Governance Forum

United Nations, New York, 16 November 2009 - The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) officially opened yesterday in Sharm el-Sheikh, where it will meet until Wednesday. At the opening ceremony, Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Sha Zukang drew attention to the decision that will need to be made about the future of the IGF as it approaches the end of its 5 year mandate next year.
