On Friday August 10, 2018 at 10:09 pm, the victim, a 34 year-old-male, was in the 1500 block of Blavis Street when he was approached by an unknown male looking to buy marijuana. The victim responded that he had no idea. The victim was then followed by the suspect who suddenly produced a handgun, put on a ski mask and demanded the victim's money when the victim and suspect began to struggle over the handgun. During the struggle the suspect fired six shots, one striking the victim in the lower back. During the struggle the suspect lost one of his black Nike Air Force One sneakers. The suspect then fled on foot and was last seen west on Blavis Street towards 16th Street after loosing his other sneaker. During the investigation the suspects other sneaker was found a short distance away from the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Suspect Description: Black male, light complexion, early 20 years-of-age, 5'11", 175 lbs., low haircut, muscular build, possibly of mixed race, wearing a black t-shirt, black skull cap, black shorts, black sneakers, and armed with a handgun.
