I listened to Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys a while ago, and decided to try to produce a little tune in that fashion. I don't know how much will come through with my MP4, especially since my double track vocal is a bit compressed.

I didn't have a timpani, so I tuned down my old WFL snare, and recorded it fast with a hall reverb, then slowed it back down. The rest of the percussion is woodblock, finger cymbals, triangle, tambourine and guitar.

I use a bit of kazoo in the end, but I faded it out on this mix. You might hear it with good speakers. I also added harmonies, and tried to change up my voice a bit with compression and phase.

I am a lousy singer, but I write a lot of pop tunes, all sitting in my brain. Once in a while, I record one, so I figure, I might as well post, especially when I play around in the studio.
