Unlocking the Boss Debuff/2nd Gimmick 

The second gimmick/boss debuff can be unlocked only after unlocking the Hidden Route from H/L to node O. In order to trigger the second gimmick, obtain A+ rank victories on both nodes P and R one more time, in any order you wish.

Boss Debuff/2nd Gimmick Effects:
If air superiority or higher is achieved at the Boss node, a post-cap modifier of at least 1.3x is applied to all allied attacks.

Certain other conditions (AO in fleet?) may increase this bonus further (under investigation)

A post-cap modifier of 1.3x is applied to all allied attacks at Q node.

Reaching Node P:
Node P can be reached with a Transport Combined Fleet. Other fleets are possible, but due to the appearance of the H → O and L → O routes, additional branching conditions make Transport Combined Fleets more convenient for unlocking the second gimmick.

Route support expeditions, seaplane fighters, Taiyou Kai Ni, AACI, Abukuma Kai Ni and OASW can help stabilize reaching P node while using a transport fleet.

Reaching Node R:
The same approach as when unlocking the hidden routes may be used with Surface Task Force.

Alternatively, the shortcut may be utilized with a fast Carrier Task Force with a DD or CL in the first fleet to take advantage of the new route.

After successfully unlocking the second gimmick, the "Quest Completion Sound Effect" will play when returning from sortie.
