The Hawaiian Monk Seal is an endangered species that lives exclusively in the Hawaiian islands. They eat at night and lounge on shore during the day, but it is becoming increasingly rare to see them on Kauai, much less 3 of them on one beach at once. This was shot at Salt Pond Beach Park in late March, 2017. Even though the two larger seals jaw at each other at first, all three settle in for a cozy nap in the Hawaiian sun!
