Since the Karnataka elections, prices of petrol and diesel have been increased for 16 consecutive days. After which the demand for reducing the prices of oil across the country was rising.
Opposition was also surrounded by the government on the issue of oil. After this, their prices were cut for the first time on Wednesday. However, the deduction was only one paise per liter. The Kerala government has announced a reduction of one rupee per liter from June 1 in petrol and diesel prices. State Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan said that it will take a cue of Rs 509 crore to the treasury. This is our message to the Center. In the last year 2017 and 2018, the average price of crude oil imported by India was at $ 47.56 and $ 56.43 per barrel, which increased to $ 69.30 a barrel in April, 2018. At the beginning of this month, after touching $ 80, it declined and it reached $ 75.95 on May 28. This will reduce the prices of petroleum products in the next two-three days.
