Took the boys on a little woods trip, teaching them how to navigate with a compass and easy shelter basics. Northeastern hiking or backpacking USA. Always remember on you hikes or backpacking to clean up and make the place you visit when backpacking or hiking nicer then before you arrived. Teaching kids can be a fun, especially if you have goofballs like I do. We did very basic compass navigation of go East, and West and how the compass works. I will incrementally teach them all the steps, this was just a basic intro and scouting trip to a new location.
